Angie, Russian, Ukrainian, German, and French leaders are set to meet in Belarus Wednesday to discuss an end to the conflict in eastern Ukraine. German Chancellor Angela Merkel has been leading the charge for peace talks, and officials from the four nations held a telephone conference on Sunday. Western powers accuse Russia of arming rebel forces and sending troops to the region - charges Moscow has repeatedly denied. It was a dramatic day in Australia as Prime Minister Tony Abbott survived a surprising vote aimed at booting him from office His ruling Liberal Party has been plagued by infighting in recent weeks. On Monday a secret party room ballot was launched calling for his dismissal. Abbott managed to win the vote by a 61 to 39 margin, but pundits say his grip on power has taken a significant blow. And British bank HSBC is under a fresh round of scrutiny for helping thousands of wealthy clients evade tax payments and hide millions in assets. New documents provided by a former HSBC employee show the bank helped shelter dictators, arm dealers, and various other criminals. The bank says its Swiss branch - which was acquired in 1999 - was not fully integrated into HSBC and had significantly lower standards of due diligence. HSBC now faces criminal investigations in four countries: the US, Belgium, France, and Argentina. We_ll be right back.

Right now though, Carli Bei has the news that EVERYONE is talking about including details on a deadly bacteria outbreak in Louisiana. Here she is with a NN Bulletin. A lethal type of bacteria that lives in soil and water has been released from the Tulane National Primate Research Center in Louisiana. Thing is, after weeks of investigating, authorities still aren_t sure HOW the deadly strain was released from the high-security lab. Officials stress there is no risk to the public. Researchers at the lab - located 35 miles north of New Orleans - had been working on a vaccine to combat the bacteria. California border authorities made one of the biggest marijuana busts in US history last week. A truck claiming to be carrying pillows and mattresses was found stashed with 15 tons of pot. Customs and Border Police at the checkpoint ordered the truck into a cargo bay for X-rays and then found the haul. The truck was packed from floor to ceiling with the illicit cargo, which carried an estimated street value close to 20 million dollars. And a sketch broadcast on this weekend_s edition of Saturday Night Live has sparked MAJOR controversy online. It featured host Dakota Johnson playing a young woman being dropped off at the airport by her father, played by Taran Killam. Have a look.Perhaps not too surprisingly, a sketch about a father dropping his daughter off to join ISIS militants didn_t go over too well with the general public. The corruption probe is on-going but more SPECIFICALLY, the HEAD of FIFA, Sepp Blatter, says he may not step down after all. The guy_s almost EIGHTY years old, leads a totally corrupt organization, Says he won_t quit, then he DOES quit, and now this? FIFA is turning into a joke. EVERYONE wants him out so I have no idea where his mind_s at. Anyway, let me get to the Sports set and I_ll explain. Welcome inside my NAKED SPORTS REPORT About two weeks ago, FIFA boss Sepp Blatter won his fifth term as President, and then announced he_d be stepping down amongst rampant allegations of corruption in the organization. Well how quickly things change. NOW, a source close to Blatter has told the media that the 79-year old could once again run for President if no suitable new candidate emerges. FIFA is expected to announce a new President between December and March of next year. A big congratulations goes out to Fabian Gomez The 36-year old golfer from Argentina won his very first PGA Tour title at the St. Jude Classic in Tennessee Gomez shot a 4-under 66 and finished at 13 under on the tournament, running away from the field with a 4-stroke lead. It_s been a tough road for Gomez. Last year he had to earn back his tour card. On Sunday he became only the fifth player from Argentina to win a PGA event.Now to a huge upset at UFC 188 in Mexico City. MMA fans were eager for the long-awaited return of Cain Velasquez - the oft-injured fighter many consider to be the greatest heavyweight of his generation. Cain was taking on Fabricio Werdum and struggled BIG time. Werdum bloodied the champ with a number of heavy shots in the second before, submitting Velasquez with a guillotine choke in the third. We hope Werdum enjoys the championship while he can. No UFC heavyweight has ever defended the belt more than twice. It was a wet and NOT-so-wild day on the NASCAR track in Michigan. Kurt Busch took advantage of lousy conditions to win his second checkered flag of the season. He was the leader when the race was canceled after just 138 laps due to a heavy downpour. Busch led for only six laps of the race, but they just so happened to be the last six Not only that but he did it in his BACKUP car. And Rafael Nadal didn_t have much luck on the clay at the French Open, but he kicked ass on the grass at the Mercedes Cup in Germany Nadal beat Viktor Troicki in straight sets to claim his third Mercedes Cup title. GPS manufacturer TomTom has released its list of the world_s most congested cities. Istanbul gets the dubious honor of having the world_s WORST traffic. Turkey_s largest city is a gateway between Europe and Asia, and has the heaviest traffic during peak hours on the planet. A 30-minute drive there will take you more than an hour during the evening rush Mexico City and Rio de Janeiro rounded up the top three spots. And over in North America, Los Angeles keeps its crown as the least driver-friendly city - but ranks just 10th worldwide. A thousand-year old Anglo-Saxon concoction once used to treat eye infections could hold the key to a cure for the MRSA superbug Microbiologists went to work on a remedy translated from a 10th century medical textbook found at the British Library in London. The recipe uses basic ingredients like garlic, wine, and bile from a cow_s stomach. Amazingly, when the medieval brew was tested on the antibiotic-resistant MRSA strain, it killed 999 out of 1,000 bacterial cells The team was dumbfounded by the surprising results, saying the treatment is effective beyond their wildest dreams. And in Siberia, oil workers drilling in the frozen tundra there have made an incredible discovery: the remains of a 10,000 year old woolly mammoth The workers dug up two tusks, teeth, and rib bones of the giant mammal, which was buried about ten feet deep.
