We_ve also got an absolutely INSANE police car chase from Los Angeles that was played out on live TV. But our first story comes to us from Boston, where the city is digging out of yet another MASSIVE snowfall. There_s so much snow now in Beantown, Carli, that they don_t know what to do with it That_s right, Peyton, Boston has been hit with its THIRD major storm in two weeks. We_re talking a total accumulation now of about EIGHTY inches in the last 30 days. Here_s the latest.Two more feet of snow has just fallen on Boston, smashing snowfall records. It_s really insane what_s going on there. Schools are closed once again and public transportation has been suspended and will remain closed until at least Wednesday. The storms have been relentless in the Boston area, it_s snowed 13 of the past 17 days and believe it or not, even MORE snow is expected later this week. In other news, ten women and two men will serve as the jury in the trial of the man charged with killing American Sniper Chris Kyle. Attorneys for former Marine Eddie Ray Routh will argue he is not guilty by reason of insanity, due to post-traumatic stress disorder from his time in Iraq. More than 800 summons were sent out for the trial-more than four times the usual amount. Opening statements begin in Texas on Wednesday. And a wild rush-hour police pursuit of an armed man in Los Angeles ended with the suspect being shot and taken into custody, all on live TV. Police were led at high speeds through downtown streets and highways, while the suspect crashed into several cars and high-jacked another vehicle. Local TV news stations in LA broadcast the pursuit live from cameras mounted on helicopters. The suspect_s identity and condition have not released. We_ll be right back.

They_ll join past cast members like Adam Sandler, Chris Rock, Dana Carvey, and will Ferrell, as well as popular guests from Justin Timberlake to Betty White. Possibly MOST noteworthy is Eddie Murphy, who will return to SNL for the first time in over thirty years The special will air on NBC February 15th.Elsewhere in TV land, ABC has ordered a new comedy pilot from the executive producers of Thirty Rock. Family Fortune will star writer-and-comedian Fortune Feimster as a popular gym teacher who comes out of the closet to close friends and family. Feimster may be best known as a writer on Chelsea Lately, but has moved in front of the cameras. This is her third shot at a starring role - she_s had two previous shows that went nowhere.Breaking Bad alum Anna Gunn has joined the female lead opposite Gary Sinise in CBS_s upcoming Criminal Minds spinoff. The series will focus on the FBI division helping American citizens in trouble overseas. The Emmy-winning actress will play Ally Lambert, an international law expert, and Sinise is Jack Garrett, a twenty-year veteran. The pilot will air as a planted spinoff during the main Criminal Minds season, before splitting off on its own.HBO has finally greenlit their six-part Lewis And Clark miniseries. It_s been in the works for a while, with Casey Affleck as Meriwether Lewis, but now that Belgian actor Matthias Schoenaerts has joined as William Clark, production can finally begin this summer. It_s set to be a six-part epic, about the famous duo_s expedition across the American west. It_s HBO_s biggest miniseries since 2010.And Netflix has released a teaser for Daredevil. Based on the Marvel superhero, the series will star Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock, a blind lawyer who uses his super-heightened other senses to fight crime in the streets of Hell_s Kitchen. Here_s a snippetDaredevil costars Vincent D_Onofrio and Rosario Dawson, and will be one of the first series offered up in Ultra HD 4K when it launches in April. Memories Pizza is in the news today, that_s the pizza shop that drew national headlines for saying they would not serve gay customers in Indiana due to their religious beliefs. Well, the comments led to scathing reviews on Yelp - including threats to burn the place down. As a result, they say they were forced to temporarily close their doors. In response to the backlash, an online fundraising page was set up to support the pizzeria... and quickly raised more than 840,000 dollars The GoFundMe account stopped accepting donations over the weekend, but managed to raise the sum in just 3 days. After a two-year shutdown, scientists in Switzerland are back working on their big bang theories The Large Hadron Collider at the CERN particle physics center is once again fully operational. It had been shut down for upgrades. The team smashed proton beams by sending them in both directions around the LHC_s 17-mile-round track, and the plan is to crank things up to even higher intensity in the coming days. The 10 billion dollar collider was used to discover the elusive Higgs boson particle in the first run of testing between 2009 and 2013. It_s hoped the latest round of research will help unlock further frontiers of particle physics. And American health officials are warning of a mutant stomach bug that_s spreading across the US. The bug is responsible for nightmare travel illnesses like Delhi belly and Montezuma_s revenge. Normally those cases are easy to treat, but the bug has changed its form and become resistant to common antibiotics. The Centers for Disease Control say about half of the people affected had links to international travel - mainly to the Dominican Republic and India. The bug spreads really easily between people Kat, so officials say travellers should wash their hands frequently. I hear it was a pretty easy choice this week Angie.We always have a few candidates in the mix, Kat, but this week one stood head and shoulders above the pack - in all the worst ways The members of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity at the University of Oklahoma. They shamed themselves and everyone else associated with the national fraternity - and the University of Oklahoma. In case you missed it, a video came to light a few days ago capturing SAE frat members singing a racist song about when black people might be invited to pledge. Spoiler alert - the answer is never. So yeah. That_s a thing that happened. IN 2015 The source of the shameful 9-second video is unknown, but he or she obviously didn_t approve, because the vid was passed on to a campus equality group called Unheard. THEY posted it online, and it_s made headlines around the world - and rightfully so. You might expect this type of slimy behaviour at a Klan rally, but not with supposedly well-educated college kids. As you_d expect, the backlash around all this has been fierce. SAE denounced the actions of the Oklahoma chapter, apologized, and promised to investigate the incident. But that was hardly enough to satisfy most people. OU has dropped the hammer on the frat, booting the racist bums from their on-campus house and completely severing ties with SAE. Two of the frat members have been expelled. And to make matters worse, another video surfaced this week featuring SAE_s 79-year old house mother. She_d claimed she had no idea the boys in her frat sang songs like that. But the new video says otherwise. It shows her drunk and repeatedly chanting the n-word. Wow, what a charming bunchFallout from the video scandal is likely far from over. The OU campus has seen a number of demonstrations against racism this past week. The school_s famous football team even skipped a practice to take part in a protest, walking-arm-in-arm while wearing all black. The controversy has even cost the team a top-ranked recruit, who changed his mind about being a Sooner. As if the SAE clowns weren_t already hated enough on campus, now they_re messing with the school_s famous football program. And arguably the top wideout on the market is staying put. Let_s get right into the headlines, courtesy of our very own Katherine Curtis, who_s got some surprising new info on American oil production.As we all know Eila, crude oil prices have TANKED over the last little while but that hasn_t stopped American companies from producing at RECORD levels The US oil industry is projected to produce a RECORD amount of oil this year. And the thing is, you couldn_t pick a stranger time to have a record-breaking year. Oil prices have fallen from over a hundred dollars a barrel last summer to about fifty this year. A big reason for the production surge is the delay between when oil wells are drilled and when they start pumping oil, which can take up to a year. That means the recent declines in the industry haven_t been felt yet on the production side of things.Saudi Arabia is spending more than ever on its military. The country_s military budget grew by 17-percent in 2014, to 80.8 billion dollars. It marks the biggest jump among the world_s top defense spenders. The increase reflects the volatility in the Middle East. But when it comes to over-ALL spending, the US is still far and away the global leader. Their bill totaled 610 billion dollars last year. The Gap, Sears, and Target are among 13 major US retailers being investigated in New York for how they schedule their hourly workers. Attorney general Eric Schneiderman has asked them all for details on the companies_ use of on-call shifts. It_s a growing trend that allows stores to have more staff when it_s busy and fewer when times are slow. Employees are often told whether they_ll be working just hours before the start of a shift, making it difficult for them to manage family life, like child care. Jimmie Johnson won for the TENTH time of his career at Dover International Speedway this weekend. Only four other drivers have EVER racked up double-digit wins at a single race track, and they_re ALL Hall of Famers: Richard Petty, David Pearson, Darrell Waltrip, and Dale Earnhardt Senior. How_s that for an exclusive club? Also in NASCAR, drivers have formed a small council that will meet with the officials to help make the sport better. Denny Hamlin, Kevin Harvick, and Dale Earnhardt Jr. are among the handful of racers taking part in the new group. They met for the first time over the weekend to talk about a number of issues, including safety. Hamlin says it_s the first time drivers have ever had an open line to NASCAR_s powers that be. Drivers and officials plan to meet again later this season.The Stanley Cup Final matchup is set The Tampa Bay Lightning will take on the Chicago Blackhawks. Both teams won dramatic game 7_s to advance over the weekend. The finals matchup promises plenty of firepower. Arsenal couldn_t catch Chelsea in the English Premier League standings this season, finishing third, but things are looking up for their chances NEXT year. And baseball fans got some disappointing news this weekend. Bryce Harper - arguably the sport_s best hitter so far this season - says he probably WON_T participate in this year_s Home Run Derby. The 22-year old is having an MVP caliber year, and is tied for the league lead with 18 homers. The reason he_s sitting out? His dad Ron has a shoulder injury, and is the only person Bryce wants pitching to him at the Derby. People love hating on Wall St. How_d I do?Well, not too bad at all actually. You_re sort of 1 for 2. What I_M surprised about is how a cable company like Comcast, wasn_t voted WORST Oh that_s right, especially with so many bad customer experiences involving them going viral this year.Out of the top 10 WORST companies, they came in at number 8. And the BEST company is going to surprise you. Here_s the story. The Harris Poll reputation survey measures public opinion of the nations most recognizable companies. East coast grocery chain Wegmans bagged the top spot for best reputation, with Amazon coming in at number 2. Samsung surprised many by edging out other tech competitors for the third overall spot. Apple came in at number 9. Goldman SACHS, on the other hand, come up LESS than golden. The investment bank was voted as having the WORST reputation of ANY US company. AIG and Dish Network rounded out the worst 3. Fortune magazine has ranked the best and worst GRADUATE degrees for future earnings. If you want to bring in the big bucks, avoid getting your masters in Interior Design. You might also want to avoid studying for masters in Divinity or Construction Management. So what was the top choice? A PHD in Statistics ranked number one for top wages. And with a doctorate in statistics, you could even run your OWN survey to confirm your choice.Unfortunately, being an English major won_t earn you a lot of money either - but it WILL help you play Scrabble. Especially since the popular game just added over 6500 new words. A lot of the updates to the Collins Official Scrabble Wordlist, skew towards new technology, including facetime, emoji, and Tweep: a twitter user.
